This amazing roof is the largest manufactured to date by the Dualframe Roof Team at Bishops Cleeve. Extra-length hip bars had to be specially extruded to cater for the span involved. The roof was test built before being packed, boxed and shipped as normal. Andrew Spencer of Bonam & Berry Ltd, the Dualframe Roof customer, takes up the story. “We worked off scaffolding erected over the 2-storey atrium. The kit format of Dualframe Roof enabled us to simply open the boxes in sequence and install the frames above the structural steelwork. The very nature of Dualframe Roof enabled us to glaze the structure far more quickly than a curtain wall or patent glazed system. This, as we all know from the weather this summer, is a major advantage for follow on trades.”
